All Levels Classes

Time Class/Instructors Description
1:00pm Connection
Ken & Jen
Make your dancing feel great in addition to looking good. Ken and Jen will cover frame exercises, matching leader and follower tension, using momentum, body leading & following, and selecting a sequence of moves to improve flow of your dancing.
2:30pm 20s Charleston
to 30s Balboa

Burnie
Learn the basics of 20's partner charleston & progress quickly with transitions back and forth into 30's Balboa!
4:00pm He goes - She Goes
Autumn & Heidi

Think all lead and follow is just as simple as he goes and then she goes? Well, think again. Autumn and Heidi will show you some tricks to leading and following that will have you creating more interesting combinations:

He goes, but she stays, and then he goes again; she goes, then he goes, then he stays, then she goes….the possibilities are endless!

5:30pm Musicality
Nathan & Audrey

Dancing isn't just about doing whiz-bang move-after-move-after-move. It's also about moving as one in tune with your partner and the music.

In this class, we'll quiet down our dancing by actually subtracting from and simplifying our basics, so that we can open up space for both partners to play with the connection, dynamics and rhythm...and also give ourselves room for the amazing, unplanned and musically inspired to occur!

Intermediate/Advanced Classes

Time Class/Instructors Description
1:00pm Swing Rueda
Trevor & Andrea
Swing Rueda is an exciting, very social, group lindy swing dance! It's danced in a circle with two or more couples. A dancer calls moves out which the entire circle executes in unison, as the follows travel around the circle dancing one or more moves with each lead. Get ready for a lot of moves and a lot of fun. Knowledge of Lindy basics is required: swing out, circle, outside and inside turns, texas-tommy, etc.
2:30pm Spicy Styling & Syncopations
Eddie & Yon
Tired of running through your basics? Add some spice to them by adding a little extra pep. This class will focus on moving your footwork and styling beyond triple steps and familiar body patterns.
4:00pm We be Jammin'!
Jean & Bromley

With Jean & Bromley's help, you will be pumping out a few mini routines that will help you tackle those exciting jam circles. Not only will we be teaching a few gems that you can put in your routine, but we will also be providing the forum to help you get comfortable with bringing the energy that each of you possess and letting it take over in a jam circle.

5:30pm Off Hand Leads
Kelli & Rye
Venture to the side of your lead and follow that may be a little awkward... off hand leads. Kelli & Rye will teach you fun and challenging lead and follow moves to use when you end up with the "other hand".
